Spring Flings

We got a great deal on a cabinet to use on the Party Porch. Issac helped Dad refit the shelves. Here, he demonstrates a much more ergonomic way to swing a hammer.
In the background, you can see our new wheels. "Chuck the Truck" was not doing well and had to be laid to rest. Here's his replacement--working name: Houdini. It joins Jaime in our driveway.

Go Cards!

Have a great evening and a beautiful morning. Enjoy the weather.

A bedtime story:
A little boy named Issac was sleeping soundly in his bed. It was about 2 a.m., so his parents were sleeping too. Until they heard a very LOUD bump, crash, bang. Issac had fallen out of bed and was crying. When Mama went to check on him, she asked, "Did you fall out of bed?"
Issac stopped crying after about 4.7 seconds, and replied, "yes." Mama asked, "Did you hurt anything?" Issac responded again, "yes." So then his Mama asked, "What?" and Issac said, "the floor." The two went back to sleep, laughing.

R.I.P.
The spiles are out; the jugs are down.
Our maple smile is now a frown.
The sap stopped flowing days ago.
We'll have to get syrup from the sto'.

We'll have to see if next year brings better results.

Well, as some have not so subtly mentioned, we've had quite the hiatus. We moved in October. You all have seen pictures of the house and are welcome to come visit and check it out in person. Here are some scenes from the last few months.
Issac loves blueberries!
Birthday cupcakes to celebrate year #2...
...and they were goooo--oooood!

Searching for a Christams tree for our new house.
By far, the favorite gift on Christmas morning. Nothing beats a pink toothbrush!

We didn't have much of a winter. It's been perpetual spring since we moved. Still, we found some ice on the lakeshore one frosty weekend.
Went south for snow...built a snowman with Grandma.
We get to see a lot of deer in and near our yard. There's a family of 6 that frequents the area. I'm pretty sure that's John on the right, but he looks so much like his brother.
Issac decided that, now that we have a new house, he should be able to drive. He climbed into the front seat and took the car for a spin. He's been begging to take the car out again since.

Today we decided to put our spile to good use and tap a maple tree in our yard. We hope to make syrup, but it takes 10 gallons to boil down to 1 quart--don't keep those fingers crossed for a share present quite yet. (Snuggly Bear III helped.)
Good bye for now! Hope to see you soon.
