The front of our new home. There are four bedrooms (officially three, one in the basement doesn't have an egress, but it is very nice). Three bathrooms. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open. The screened in porch is just off the dining room (right side of the picture below). Walk out basement on the left of this picture and a 2 car garage. The house faces woods across the street to the north.

The back yard - the yard is total of just under an acre. There is a rough patio just outside the dining room and screened in porch - see the bottom of the picture. Way in the back is a large tree house and sandbox. Behind the back tree line is a corn field - should be nice and quiet.

The living room with a fireplace. These hardwood floors have just been refinished and span the entire first floor including the three bedrooms. The current owner removed the wall to the left of the stone pillar to open the space. The door just to the right of the pillar is the doorway to the screened in porch.

The basement. The double doors behind the pool table lead to the end of the driveway - to the right out of the doubel doors leads to the back yard. door way on the left is a bedroom; stairs to the first floor; just past the stairs is a door way to the garage. The floor is tiled. Nope, pool table doesn't stay.

So that's our home. We're very excited. Going for inspection next week. We're set to close on October 28th - if you're looking for something to do, just give us a call!

Hiatus? Yes, a brief one thank you.

If you have ever wondered what happens if mom and dad forget to send an extra set of clothes to day care and your child has a major blow out, check out this picture... if you look closely, one sock has a nice lacey frill (mismatched), he is wearing very stylish underwear (over his diaper) and yes, that is a fleece he's wearing (with no shirt on underneath). But he is sporting the graham cracker, so it's all good in the hood!

This is pretty much what the kitchen looked like after Friday night...floor out, doors, off, primer coat on everything and Brandon even got the ceiling painted. It was awesome to have so much help to make so much progress in so little time.

Some 'making cookies' cheese...yes that's flour and that is in fact all that's in the bowl, despite what the smile may make you think.

Another view of the kitchen. Monica went to a work shop on decorating your home and the stager she talked to used the green bowl in the sink as a color example of what we should use for curtains...we will not be pursuing her advise for anything else.

Got some yard work in (while stylin' at the same time) when it was nice out a couple of weeks ago.

Getting bigger

Issac had another doctor appointment this past week. He weighed in at 23 lbs, 10 oz, (35th%), and is still tall at 32.5" (85th%). Also, with a larger than normal head size...maybe that's why Broeckling hairlines look like they're receeding? Or maybe the hair is just going away...

Issac is starting to 'talk' more - words are becoming more clear and more frequent. Dad, Mama, Bird, Turtle (ish), cat, no, etc.

We're biased, but he's still pretty darn smart...and now awake - KIM out. Stay tuned for pictures coming soon.

On Hiatus

Several months/holidays/moons have passed since we've last posted. As you can guess, Issac has changed quite a bit.

In November, Issac fiercly battled the Bucket of Daycare, and went down valiantly. He now proudly wear his scar as testiment to this great duel.

In December, he turned1! His first birthday came with lots of noisy toys, carrot cake, and a haircut--a first for both Issac and Mama.

We'll post some birthday videos and Christmas pictures later (Who likes Chistmas in July?!

Most recently, Issac goes up AND down stairs on his own. He eats "big kid" food but has been stuck on peas lately. We've had to sneak other food in with his peas to try to get him to add some variety to his diet. This was a great success with pasta last night.

He also loves to accessorize!

Issac walks

Issac started walking at 9 1/2 months...we weren't ready for that to happen yet, but it did provide some motivation to start 'baby proofing' the house...dad finally got cabinet locks on this weekend. We have a long way to go. He has been refining his walk over the past three weeks. After last weekend's wedding, he has learned to stand up on his own in the middle of the floor. When we're trying to head him off from crawling up the stairs (his favorite past-time), he seems to run...not really, but I think he likes to try.

We have walking! Little man surprised us be letting go of his crutch and taking a couple of steps on his own, without encouragement from Momma or Dad. We may be a little biased, but he's kind of stud. Video forthcoming...looks like he'll be ready to dance with Libby and Addie at Ann's wedding in two weeks!
